A morning at the Englischer Garten [Munich documentary family photographer]

A few people have asked me lately whether I am still shooting families. Well, yes I am! Just not as often as last year, as my other baby, Documentary Family Photographers Worldwide, has been keeping me quite busy.

Anyway, I just delivered this session, and as it usually happens, I’m obsessed with this gorgeous family. I wonder if it’s just me who falls in love with all her customers?

1/2 day in the life of Marco

Remember little Alejandro? He and his family left Munich a couple of months after I photographed him, and they hired me for half a day to photograph them in their favorite spots in Munich. So this session was something in between half a day in the life and a vacation session.

The Seegers in Munich: vacation photos for an American family

Munich is a great city, not just to live, but also to go on vacation! Hilary contacted me sometime in July, and we crossed some emails preparing their Munich vacation session. She had been in Germany as a student and was excited to come back with her husband and children. 

The weather was perfect and they did some the typical things you do in Munich on a summer day, like shopping at Viktualienmarkt or taking the S-bahn to the Englischer Garten. Except this time they had a photographer with them! 

Alejandro turns 1 month {Munich newborn photographer}

I think newborns might be my favorite subject ever. Alejandro was already one month old when we met, and the morning I came to their place, all he wanted was to lie down on his crib or stay in mom's arms (was there ever a better place to sleep?) I must admit he wasn't the easiest baby to photograph, but the truth is, I'm really pleased with the outcome!

Oh, I love my job, I really do (I never thought I'd say this when I was working for a multinational company!) Getting emails like "the photos are amazing, they even exceeded our expectations!" is one of the best parts of it, but also, getting to know families like this one, who make everything so easy and smooth!

A cozy afternoon {Munich documentary photographer}

I've recently taken a switch towards a more natural kind of photography. Not that I don't like posed pictures, I do, but I enjoy capturing real life, as it is. I believe this kind of photography tells more stories than the posed pictures, and that's why I've began to offer storytelling sessions to my customers. 

This session is a great example. At home, on a winter afternoon, four children and approximately one and a half hours of time. Older brothers played football, sister baked some cookies and little one messed around with paints, toys and costumes. And super mommy of course, took care of them all and made sure they ate something before going out again. It was so much fun!!!

I took tons of pictures, as always, and here are some of my favorites.

Anything can happen in just a few minutes outside with these two. I love them so much! 

Teenagers are fun {Starnberg Portrait Photographer}

I love my job. It's very rewarding, specially when a close friend chooses you to take pictures of her beautiful teenage daughter. 

This session took place a before the holidays, at the Starnbergersee, south west from Munich. The weather was not so warm yet and in fact, a couple of hours before the session it was pouring, but in the end the sun came out and the light was perfect. 

Baby Mateo {Munich Newborn Lifestyle Photographer}

I can't say enough about this sweet family! Their home was overflowing love, between them and for their little boy. It was amazing to be part of such an incredible time in their lives.

Little Franziska {Munich Newborn Lifestyle Photographer}

A couple of months ago I had the chance to meet little Franziska. I was looking forward to this session, since it had been a present from Franzisca's moms colleages (what a great present, don't you think?) We prepared a very cute voucher that she got before the holidays, and I came to visit them when the baby was a few days old. 

It's always a honor to step into a client's home and experience the love and happiness that fill the air as they get used to their new life as a family of three. Here are a few favorites of this session.
